Cool People Care

Anyone got ideas on ways to make coffee time more earth friendly? We're fans of reusable mugs when out for coffee, but what are things folks do at home to be good stewards of the earth while getting their daily (or thrice-daily) caffeine fix?

Reusable mugs are the way to go. I have two CoolPeopleCare mugs, one on my desk at work, and one I take with me. The folks at the local coffee house give anyone who brings in their own mug 10% off.

We do have free coffee at work, and we have vendors who like to gives us free coffee mugs. I encourage people to use the mugs for their purpose, not as pencil holders.

At home? How about dumping those used coffee grounds near plants or in the compost pile?

Why not use a french press and decrease the use of filters? Plus, it's a little fancy and fun!

That's the answer I'm looking for. I hate tossing filters (or cleaning reusable ones) but LOVE the French press... I think I know what I'm asking for for Christmas...
